Subproject: Simulation, Team/Swarm Control and Mission Planning

Short Summary:
In turn of the Project „Simulation, Team/Swarm Control and Mission Planning“ KIT will carry out the following tasks:

  • Implementation of a simulation for virtual display of the SMIS vehicles as well as their driving characteristics and sensor/actor systems under realistic environmental conditions. 
  • Conception and execution of a distributed control architecture for autonomous coordination of a team of multiple SMIS vehicles.
  • Realization of a control algorithm for the docking maneuver of AUVs and UW-Bottom Station.
  • Design of an emergency planning software in case of unexpected events and malfunction of subsystems.

Development of an interactive mission planner together with an automatic optimization of mission parameters under consideration of economic boundary conditions and known environmental conditions at the operation site.
